Chelsea 2001/02 home jersey

Chelsea wore this at home in 2001/02. Umbro made it, Fly Emirates was on the front: blue with a white polo collar and white cuff trim.

Fly Emirates arrives, and stays for the rest of the era.

On the garment, the tell is the blue collar, white underneath, small white v-neck. We read that, the neck label and the tag before we call one original.

How to date one

Neither the print nor the colour dates this one

Umbro throughout, so the sponsor splits the era in two. Autoglass ends with 2000/01, and Fly Emirates starts with 2001/02 and stays.

Chelsea wore the same home — blue with a white polo collar and white cuff trim — in 2001/02 and 2002/03, all under Umbro with the Fly Emirates print. This one has the blue collar, white underneath, small white v-neck, but we have not confirmed what the other seasons carried. So the neck label and the tag separate them, and we read those first.

The six checks we run on any jersey — the label code, the sleeve badge, the print, and what none of them prove.

What an early-2000s original costs — real asking prices, and the reproduction price an original has to clear.

We do not have this one in hand

Put it on the Want List and it becomes something we go looking for. No fee, no bidding, no obligation — you see photos, measurements and a price before anything is charged.

Club, season and kit is enough. Sponsor or a squad number if you know it.

Early-2000s sizing runs small. Telling us the size stops us offering you a jersey that will not fit.
